The Importance of Christianity

It is terrible to overstate Christianity’s importance in the modern world. This is primarily due to the fact that the religion currently has the largest global following. It is still infiltrating every nook and cranny of society, spreading even in the rural hinterlands, where it was previously nonexistent. Even as we speak, new Christians are converting from other religions.

Who is a Christian?

A Christian is someone who adheres to and follows the teachings of The Lord, Jesus Christ. This person has dedicated his entire life to serving Him. Hence, not everyone who claims to be a Christian is one.
The apostles were first recognized as Christians because of how they conducted themselves. “Then Barnabas journeyed to Tarsus to seek Saul, and when he found him, he took him to Antioch,” the Bible says. For a whole year, they worked with the Church and shared their knowledge with many people, and it was at Antioch that the disciples were first referred to as Christians (Acts 11:25-26).
This illustrates that Christians are a group of people who believe in and conform to Christ’s teachings.

What is Christianity?

Christianity is the religion that supports adherence to Christian beliefs. It is a way of life as much as a religion, and Christians are Christ’s disciples.
“Christianity is a prominent religion that originated in the first-century CE with the life, teachings, and death of Jesus of Nazareth (also known as the Christ or the Anointed One of God). It has grown to be the most prevalent religion in the world and the one with the greatest geographic dispersion. There are more than two billion adherents in its community. Its major groups are the Roman Catholic Church, the Eastern Orthodox churches, and the Protestant churches.”
Christianity considers Christ as the Messiah, who is both God and Man, and believes that man has been liberated from the devil’s tyranny through his death. The following are the core doctrines of Christianity:

1. The Trinity

According to this belief, God is both One and Three. This implies that the Godhead comprises three individuals: God’s Holy Spirit, Son, and Father as ONE. The celestial nature is the same for these three individuals, who are independent but united. The three combine to make the divine essence of God.

2. The Divinity of Christ

According to this doctrine, even though Christ appeared to humanity as a man, he is still God and ought to be revered. Christ assumed the appearance of God; he “emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in the shape of mankind, and did not see equality with God as something to be grasped.” And after being discovered in human form, he descended to earthly lows and submitted to death, even death on a cross. To ensure that every knee bows at the mention of Jesus, in heaven, on earth, and beneath the ground, and that every tongue confesses that Jesus Christ is Lord, God highly exalted him and gave him the name above every name.
